As I mentioned earlier, the greatest value of exercise when it comes to burning fat is in that it dramatically increase a person's metabolic rate. The more intense the exercise is, the greater the metabolic boost will be and the longer its effect will last (up to 12 hours).
One great way to boost your metabolism even further is by splitting work-outs! For instance, if you work out every morning for 30 minutes, you are likely to achieve greater results faster if you split that work out and increase the intensity of each shorter exercise period.
For instance, instead of exercising moderately for 30 minutes at 8 am, push your body a little harder for 15 minutes at 9 am and for 15 minutes and 9 pm. That additional boost that you give to your body in the evening, will keep your metabolism hard long into the late hours of the night and will make you burn more energy even as you sleep.
And don't worry, contrary to the opinion of some people, exercising at night will NOT interfere with your ability to fall asleep. If anything, it will tire you and make you fall asleep even faster and make your sleep deeper and better.
